Kemal Eren's profile picture

I am a PhD student in the Division of Biomedical Informatics at the University of California, San Diego. My advisor is Sergei L. Kosakovsky Pond, at the AntiViral Reseach Center.

I have a master’s degree in computer science and engineering from the Ohio State University. My advisor was Ümit V. Çatalyürek, at the High Performance Computing Laboratory. I successfully defended my thesis, Application of biclustering methods to biological data, on 7 March 2012.

My undergraduate degree is from the University of Michigan. I have a bachelor’s degree in biology and minors in computer science and mathematics. At Michigan I was a member of the Strategic Reasoning Group lead by Michael P. Wellman.


My research interests are machine learning and bioinformatics.
